A thug who brutally attacked his partner because she was being 'annoying' has been jailed for two years.
David McWilliamson, 38, turned on Emma Lorimer at her home in Springburn on April 3, 2021.
McWilliamson struck the mum-of-one with a broken bottle neck before kicking her body.
He had earlier told her: "You are just being annoying."
McWilliamson pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assaulting Miss Lorimer to her severe injury and to the danger of her life.
Sheriff Tom Hughes also put McWilliamson under supervision for a year upon his release from prison at yesterday's sentencing.
A five-year non-harassment order restricting McWilliam's contact with Miss Lorimer was granted.

The court heard the pair were in a relationship for several weeks prior to the incident.
They were drinking with Miss Lorimer's mother who was later assisted into a taxi by the victim.
When Miss Lorimer returned, McWilliamson's "demeanour changed" and became "aggressive."
The pair then argued when McWilliamson made the annoying comment.
Prosecutor Lauren Donnelly said: "He grabbed a wine bottle and smashed it off the TV unit in the living room.
"He kept possession of the bottle neck and swung it at Miss Lorimer, striking her to the jaw which resulted in a wound."
The victim initially fled into the kitchen but was tailed by McWilliamson who kicked her on the body.
Miss Lorimer then took shelter at a neighbour's property as a 999 call was made.
She was later treated in hospital with two stitches to the jaw wound.
