A Glasgow theatre has been named as one of the UK's most beautiful theatres, in a new study by hotel chain Premier Inn.
To crown the most beautiful theatres in the world, Premier Inn used eye-tracking technology to study which theatres people's eyes were drawn to the most. The results revealed that the Glasgow Theatre Royal was the 10th most appealing to the eye in the UK overall, and 7th for its beautiful interiors.
The study used a unique way of analysing the objective beauty of theatres; participants were asked to look at a series of images of 36 of the world’s most famous theatres.
