A major investigation has been launched in Newton Mearns following a disturbance on Thursday evening (February 2) and a street is on lock down.
A large area of Malletsheugh Road - which was yesterday closed at both ends - has been cordoned off as police carry out an investigation.
Images taken further up the road show the presence of a Scottish Ambulance Service incident response unit, a Scottish Fire and Rescue Service vehicle and various police cars as well as a mobile wellbeing unit, the Daily Record reports.

Portaloos have been provided at the site, suggesting officers may be there for some time. Ironically, the scene provides an aerial view of Glasgow, similar to the opening credits of the fictional TV detective series ‘Taggart’.
It lies around two miles south of the main residential area of Newton Mearns, one of the plushest suburbs of the city. Police provided little detail of what was taking place. The area is a mix of residential properties and small businesses.
A garage owner in the area said he was prevented from attending his workshop by the police blockade.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said:“Officers were called to a property in Pilmuir Holdings, Newton Mearns, at around 6.15pm on Thursday, 2 February, 2023 following a report of a man causing a disturbance. A 27-year-old man has been arrested in connection with this. Officers remain at this address and enquiries are continuing.”
