Glasgow is to welcome a new innovation and research centre as part of UK Government plans to 'level up' the country.

The 'Silicon Valley-style innovation accelerator' is aimed at creating new jobs and boosting local opportunities.

Michael Gove described Glasgow as one of many cities which has "huge potential but contain inequalities which hold too many back".
