A Glasgow shop owner accused of evading more than £1 million in tax will stand trial next year.
It is claimed Mohammed Mirza, also known as Ameen Mirza, was knowingly concerned in the fraudulent evasion of value added tax to the figure of £1,086,434.56.
Charges claim he knowingly suppressed the total value of sales which he submitted to HMRC on his quarterly VAT returns.

The charge states these returns were in relation to shops operated by Mohammed Mirza in Cambuslang, and Glasgow city centre's Ballater Street.
It is alleged Mohammed Mirza falsely submitted the VAT owed by him was less than the true value and did evade the payment to HMRC between June 2009 and April 2014.
He faces a separate charge of producing, furnishing, sending and otherwise make use of VAT tax returns submitted to HMRC that were false.
It is claimed by prosecutors that Mohammed Mirza, of Pollokshields, did this with "intent to deceive."
Mohammed Mirza is further accused of concealing and converting £474,800 of criminal property which he kept in a safe at a property in Cambuslang between 2009 and 2015.
He also faces a charge of possession of criminal property of the £474,800 cash.
Co-accused Muhammad Mirza, also known as Hanif Mirza, 49, is also charged with being concerned in the fraudulent evasion of VAT.
Hanif Mirza, of Thornliebank, is claimed to have suppressed £91,408.38.
Hanif Mirza's crimes are said to have spanned from December 2010 until March 2014 in respect of a shop in the city's Cumbernauld Road.
He faces a separate charge of make false VAT returns on five occasions during the same timeframe.
The pair pled not guilty at a hearing in Glasgow Sheriff Court at a pre-trial hearing yesterday.
A trial was fixed for March next year by Sheriff Andrew Cubie.
