Glasgow section of M8 forced to shut after coach catches fire on motorway near Ibrox

Glasgow M8 Police Scottish Fire and Rescue Service SFRS

Emergency services raced to the M8 motorway in Glasgow this morning after a coach caught fire.

Police and fire crews were called to the M8 Eastbound between Junction 23 (Ibrox / Dumbreck Road) and Junction 20 (M74 interchange) after 2am this morning.

The motorway was closed for around 25 minutes whilst the fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service.
