Glasgow search to trace vulnerable man with dementia reported missing from Greenock

Police launched an appeal for help to trace a vulnerable missing man who may have travelled to Glasgow.

John Traill, from Greenock, was last seen in the Carwood Street area of the town around 11am on Wednesday.

The 66-year-old has dementia and officers were concerned for his welfare.

It’s thought he may have travelled to Glasgow and likely passed through Buchanan Bus Station.

John also has links to Edinburgh and Coventry.

John is described as five foot, ten inches tall and of slim build, with grey hair and may be wearing glasses.

When last seen he was wearing a blue t-shirt, jeans, white trainers and was carrying a plastic, orange, A4-size folder.

Anyone who thinks they may have seen John or who has any information about his whereabouts is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101 quoting reference 1966 of 9 June, 2022.
