One lucky fan of the Savoy Nightclub has scored an unlikely memento from the club, after it jokingly decided to give away a piece of its infamous 'sticky carpet'.
After nearly half a century of serving Glasgow's nightlife crowds, the Savoy is currently closed as part of a huge £500k makeover.
And with fans curious about what would happen to the now-famous carpet, the team decided to jokingly host a giveaway on their page asking people to tag a friend who would love a piece.
Manager Tinky Ranasinghe said: "We put up a post yesterday and it went a bit crazy. We were jokingly offering a piece of the old carpet and didn’t expect the response we got."

With hundreds of people flooding the comments, one lucky punter was eventually chosen as a winner.
Tinky added: "One of our regulars Gary O’Hear got in touch and he’s now the proud owner of an exclusive Savoy Carpet Doormat. Our new flooring arrived today so we hope it’s as popular."
The popular club closed on Monday, May 8, and will reopen next week with a VIP launch party on Friday, May 19.
Tickets for the event will be available from thesavoyglasgow.com.
