It's a much-loved dessert in many homes across the country, but how often do you see Viennetta on the menu in restaurants?
Well, one popular bar and pizzeria in the Merchant City is bringing the nostalgic treat to the masses in an exciting new way – by deep-frying it.
The team at Nonna Said, who are known for their epic flavour creations, say they were inspired by dishes like Baked Alaska to create a dessert that would be hot on the outside but keep the Wall's Vienneta ice cream frozen on the inside.
Development chef John Molloy, who is behind the idea, said: "We put them on at the weekend as a special and people have been going crazy for them, so much so, we've decided to run them again this week too."

Priced at £4, and coming in the original vanilla and mint ice cream versions, the Viennetta is coated in cornflakes and cinnamon before being fried to create the hot crunchy exterior and frozen creamy interior combination.
John confirmed it's not the only special they will be running this week, with the epic-sounding Ham Solo pizza added to the menu in celebration of Star Wars Day on May the 4th.
