Glasgow's first Jollibee restaurant confirms opening date for this March

Glasgow's first ever Jollibee restaurant has confirmed its opening date for this March.

In September of last year, we reported the the fast food restaurant was set to arrive at the former Burger King on the junction of Sauchiehall Street and Renfield Street in the heart of the city centre.

In 2021, the Filipino chain, known for its 'joyous mashup of Western comfort food served with a tropical twist', announced ambitious plans to expand across the UK after setting up in six locations south of the border.

As reported by our sister site Edinburgh Live, Jollibee will also open on Princes Street in the capital, as the international food group ventures into Scotland for the very first time.

And this afternoon the team behind Jollibee confirmed their opening date to Glasgow Live, with work at the 59 Sauchiehall Street site well underway - Glasgow's first Jollibee restaurant will be welcoming in customers from Friday March 25, 2022.

Showcasing 'Filipino flair since '78', Jollibee say: "We’ve been serving our delicious Chickenjoy, Jolly Spaghetti, and Yumburgers all over the world since 1978.

"We like to think of our menu as a joyous mashup of Western comfort food served with a tropical twist.

"Intrigued? Great! Come experience our famous Filipino hospitality as well as the juiciest, tastiest, and crispiest fried chicken around. See you soon!"
