Glasgow's elderly and frontline workers will receive letters inviting them for a Covid-19 winter booster vaccine this week.
Everyone aged 56 and over plus health and social care staff most exposed to the deadly disease are first in line for this round of jabs. Protecting Glasgow's most vulnerable and easing pressure on hospital is the motive behind the rollout, according to the Scottish Government.
Letters will be sent out Scotland-wide and the jabs will be administered alongside the flu vaccine to those who are eligible. Receiving both at the same time is 'safe and efficient', officials claim.
