Glasgow's El Perro Negro serves 'The Big D' for National Burger Day dubbed 'naughtiest to date'

The award-winning El Perro Negro is set to celebrate National Burger day with a new limited edition burger, 'The Big D'.

Home to the best burger in the UK, The Top Dog - which landed El Perro Negro the number one prize at the National Burger Awards in 2019 and 2019 - for one day only they'll develop what's set to be 'their naughtiest burger to date'. El Perro Negro founder and top chef Nick Watkins, alongside his team, made the announcement ahead of National Burger Day's arrival on Thursday, August 25.

Nick said: "The Big D ,stands for ‘Big Double’ - don’t worry, will be available for one day only at both their Glasgow and Edinburgh branches. Burger fans will be treated to juicy double smash patties with gooey double cheese, double bacon, marrow butter, brown butter mayo and onions.

"Twice as nice and twice as messy!"

Nick also spoke of his excitement about the launch.

He added: "It seemed only right for us to go big on National Burger Day and give our customers what they want - a naughty and messy feast. We’ve stocked up on hand wipes and are ready to welcome Glasgow and Edinburgh burger fans tomorrow."

The new Big D burger will be available for one day only at both the Glasgow and Edinburgh branches tomorrow, Thursday, August 25, 2022, priced at £13. The burger is available for sit in and collection orders only at El Perro Negro, Woodlands Road.
