The iconic Christmas family film Home Alone is set to get the live orchestra treatment, with a performance at the Royal Concert Hall in December.
The beloved movie will be brought to life, with the charming score composed by the renowned John Williams performed live to picture by a full orchestra. The event promises a new way for audiences to experience the classic.
Home Alone was nominated for two Academy Awards for Best Original Score and Best Original Score, when it was released in 1990. Starring Macaulay Culkin, Catherine O’Hara and John Candy - it became an instant festive hit at the time.

Organisers for the event said: “Home Alone is heart-warming fun for the entire family, now passed down through generations of adults and kids alike as festive tradition, and now, Home Alone In Concert will be a new way for audiences to experience a classic.”
In the film Macaulay Culkin plays Kevin McCallister, an eight-year-old boy who is thrilled when accidentally left behind when his family leaves for Christmas. Before long, things start to go wrong and he ends up defending his home against two thieves.
The event, which is to be held on December 15, is priced at £34.16 per ticket. The orchestra will also be performing in Manchester, Birmingham and Nottingham over the festive period.
