Glasgow road shut down by police after man found seriously injured in flat

A road in Glasgow has been shut down by police after a man was found seriously injured in a flat.

Emergency crews raced to the address on Glenisla Street in the Tollcross area of the city at 5.05pm on Sunday, June 25. Officers attended and a man was found seriously injured within.

His current condition is unknown. Police say inquiries into the incident are ongoing.

Glenisla Street, between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road, remain closed to allow investigation work to be carried out.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: "Around 5.05pm on Sunday, 25 June 2023, police were called to a flat in Glenisla Street, Tollcross, Glasgow, following a report that a man was seriously injured within.

"Officers and emergency services are at the scene and enquiries are continuing.

“Glenisla Street, between Birnham Road and Maukinfauld Road have been closed to pedestrians and motorists. "There are no further details at this time."
