A RESTAURANT  in Glasgow's Merchant City has entered liquidation.

Sapporo Teppanyaki, a Japanese eatery serving sushi and noodles, originally based in Edinburgh is affected by the action.

Simon Thomas Barriball and Gareth Bishop of McAlister & Co Insolvency Practitioners Limited were appointed as liquidators of the business last month as the spot was put in a Creditors Voluntary Liquidation.

The restaurant's principal trading address is on Ingram Street in Glasgow.

It is not yet known if the restaurant will remain open or how it will be affected by this action.
