A dog has been left 'terrified' after she was attacked by a dog in Glasgow, who 'bit down on her skull' causing her eye to protrude from its socket.
Pooch Pucca has been left "terrified" after she was attacked on Paisley Road West, Glasgow, on Tuesday afternoon. During the attack her eye bulged from it's socket after the bigger dog allegedly plunged at her, 'biting down' on her skull.
Pucca's owner, Allan Hamilton, claims the dog and it's keeper ran away following the incident and took no accountability for the physical and emotional damage caused.
Seven-year-old Pucca underwent surgery to hopefully save her eye at the Small Animal Hospital in Bearsden.

The pup has been left blind in one eye following surgery which was funded by the help of Allan's family as they came together with enough to give her the best chance of sight.
Allan, 31, was away for the day at Sandylands Holiday Park at the time of the incident and trusted a family member to take care of his beloved pooch. Speaking to Glasgow Live he said: "I dropped everything and headed straight to the vets. The family member looking after Pucca acted quickly by throwing himself onto her, shielding her with his own body."
Explaining what happened he said "Pucca was out a walk when she was approached by the dog, both were on a leash, they seemed normal - tails wagging and having a sniff but next minute he turned on her.
"Before he knew it the owner and his dog had ran away, he didn't even ask if she was okay."
Allan contacted police who guided him towards the Dog Wardens, however he feels at "crossroads" and is nervous the same dog will pounce again.
Pucca, who is a Lhasa Apso, is now "terrified of her own shadow". She is described as a "loving dog who wouldn't hurt a fly", but is now understandably shaken and scared to head outside.
Following surgery to her eye, Pucca awaits a check-up in a few weeks which will determine whether or not she will gain her sight back. Until then, Allan wants to raise awareness of the attack and encourage others to be careful.
He describes the bigger dog as brown and black, perhaps a "Tibetan Mastiff X Akita mix or a dog that may roughly look similar to these breeds of dogs".
During an appeal posted to Facebook, Allan said: "I’m appealing for any witnesses, anyone who has any information or someone who may know who this is. My dog was attacked unprovoked on Tuesday the 9th of May between 2pm-3pm roughly around Fife Avenue and Paisley Road West. Both dogs were leashed and the other dog has attacked my little dog, biting down on her skull and causing her eye to protrude from her socket.
"Thanks to a family member who was walking her - he managed to knock the dog away and shield my dog with his own body. The man who was walking his dog appeared to be in his mid 40’s to early 50’s. He done a runner with his dog after the incident.
"Leaving not only my dog with physical scars and the possibility of losing her eye but also mental and emotional scars as she’s terrified or her own shadow now.
"I’m asking not only for justice for my girl but the fact that next time the dog may not be so lucky to survive but also it could be a small child or toddler next. The described dog could possibly be a Tibetan Mastiff X Akita mix or a dog that may roughly look similar to these breeds of dogs."
Police Scotland has been contacted for comment.
