A pub owner has been cleared of keeping her bar open during lockdown after prosecutors binned her case.
Elaine Byrne, 65, was alleged to have failed to close The Stanley Bar in Glasgow's Kinning Park on July 10, 2020.
Court papers claimed she failed to cease selling food or drink for consumption.
Byrne was further accused of failing to produce her personal licence when requested to do so by a constable or licensing standards officer.
She was also alleged to have failed to display the licence or a copy of the summary for her patrons to read.
Byrne and co-accused John Byrne, 57, faced a charge of intentionally obstructing police officers.
It was claimed they refused to engage or answer any questions, instructed the officers to leave and threatened to lock them in the premises.
The pair pled not guilty to their respective charges at Glasgow Sheriff Court.
The matter was later dropped by the procurator fiscal depute.
A spokesperson for the Crown Office and Procurator Fiscal Service said: “Prosecutors have a duty to keep cases under review and after careful consideration of the facts and circumstances, including the available admissible evidence, the Procurator Fiscal decided that there should be no proceedings taken at this time.
"The Crown reserves the right to proceed in the future should further evidence become available."
