Glasgow police launch fresh appeal to trace Govan man missing for 10 days

Police in Glasgow are appealing for help to find a man reported missing from the Govan area.

Peter Doherty was last seen around 10am on Monday, April 25, in the Love Street area of Paisley.

His current whereabouts are unknown and friends and family are becoming increasingly concerned for him.

Peter is described as about 5 foot 10 tall, with short brown/grey hair and blue eyes.

When the 53-year-old was last seen he was wearing a grey and black hoodie, light denim ripped jeans and black and white trainers.

He is known to beg for money in the Govan area.

Inspector Robert Anderson, Govan Police station, said: "Peter hasn’t been in contact with his friends or family for a number of days now and hasn’t been keeping to his normal routine which is completely out of character for him.

"We know he was in Paisley when he was last seen so may have connections in this area that we are unaware of. I would urge anyone who knows Peter or can provide information on his whereabouts to contact police.”
