Police in Glasgow have issued an alcohol warning to people heading to Kelvingrove Park this weekend to enjoy the warm weather predicted to hit the city.
Glasgow North West Police took to Twitter to remind Glaswegians that "alcohol consumption is not permitted within the park" - which draws folk young and old who are keen to soak up the sun in the vast green space on the banks of the Kelvin.
Police also confirmed that officers will be carrying out additional patrols in the west end park alongside council staff this weekend "to ensure the park can be a safe and secure place for all those who use it".

It reads: "Your Community police along with Glasgow City Council are carrying out additional patrols in Kelvingrove Park this weekend to ensure the park can be a safe and secure place for all those who use it.
"Please remember alcohol consumption is not permitted within the park."
