Police are hunting an Audi driver who hit a pedestrian in the west end and drove off.

The 60-year-old victim was hit by the driver as they made an illegal turn from Byres Road into Lawrence Street around 1.20pm on Friday, March 3.

The man luckily didn't require medical treatment but has been left badly shaken as a result of the incident.

Officers are now appealing for the public's help to try and trace the driver of the black Audi estate car and are continuing to review CCTV footage from in and around the area.

Constable Tom Parker said: “I am appealing for anyone who was in the area around the time who may have seen the black Audi and its occupant(s), possibly being driven erratically or dangerously, to contact us. I would also like to ask anyone with recording equipment, such as dash cams, to check their footage as there may be images which could assist our investigation.

"Anyone with information is asked to call Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident number 1655 of 3 March, 2023. Alternatively, please call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously."
