Glasgow parking wardens patrolling areas around Celtic Park and Ibrox on matchdays have been warned to leave the area before games finish for their own safety.
Attendants are in charge of carrying out enforcement on match days at Hampden Park, Ibrox and Parkhead, issuing tickets to any motorists who break parking rules.
For most events they are due to start two hours before kick off and finish an hour after the end. But it is a different matter for matches involving Celtic and Rangers.

A council report said: "For health and safety reasons, parking attendants will leave the Celtic or Rangers areas before the end of the match.”
The report sets out how parking enforcement is to work during events.
The report said the council’s parking enforcement team will liaise with Police Scotland and Rangers FC, Celtic FC and Hampden Park to sort out priorities for “any fixtures being held and any required targeted enforcement of areas due to parking or access issues.”
The report added: “The team will identify between eight to 11 parking attendants to be on site to undertake parking enforcement to cover the area covered by a permanent traffic regulation order or temporary traffic regulation order for restricted parking on an event day.
“Throughout any event day enforcement period, parking enforcement officers will be in constant liaison with Police Scotland which could result in the parking attendants being withdrawn from their patrols to address an ad-hoc issue.”
The information came to light in a paper due to be presented to the council’s environment and liveable neighbourhoods city policy committee next week.
Councillors will be updated on the council’s parking schemes in the city at the meeting.
The report added: "Following the creation of the new parking services team a review of the full service function is currently being undertaken to ascertain how the team will function going forward, especially in terms of the increase of parking zones across the city and to align it to the council’s transport strategy."
Parking attendants cover 55 patrol routes across Glasgow.
