Two figures were spotted struggling to drag a wheelie bin to a Glasgow park shortly before a dog walker found the badly burned body of William Leiper.
Details of the gruesome discovery emerged yesterday when prosecutor Derick Nelson told the High Court in Glasgow the woman at first thought it was a smouldering log, or burning rubbish. It was only when she stopped a jogger, they realised it could be a body.
Police were alerted at 7.30am and the 31-year-old's remains were so badly burned expert anthropologists were needed to help identify him.
