A Glasgow man who has spent years helping disabled people find a home has won a £2.5million country house in a raffle. Grant Carson, 58, scooped the five-bedroom farmhouse after entering an online million pound house draw.
The mansion is set in eight acres of the Lake District - and widower Grant says he now can't wait to get a dog to share it with. The Scot says getting a pooch was always out of the question before due to chronic arthritis he has had since he was seven - but now he can afford a dog walker.
The house comes mortgage free, with all stamp duty and legal fees covered - and delighted Grant has also even been given £100,000 in cash. He has never won anything in his life and was stunned when he received the phone call.
