A thug who bit his Grindr date's ear off was jailed today for 21 months.
Robert Kearney, 28, turned on Daniel Douglas in Govan, repeatedly punching and kicking him before chewing on his ear in front of child onlookers.
Mr Douglas later lost an inch of his ear that could not be re-attached by medics. Kearney pled guilty at Glasgow Sheriff Court to assaulting Mr Douglas to severe injury and permanent disfigurement April 3, 2021.

The court heard the pair met on dating app Grindr before attending Govan underground station.
Police were later contacted and officers found Mr Douglas seriously injured.
Prosecutor Heather Naismith said: "Mr Douglas has blood on his clothing and a piece of his right ear missing.
"He said he met Kearney on Grindr and was thereafter assaulted."
CCTV captured part of the incident which was later viewed by police.
Miss Naismith added: "Kearney approached Mr Douglas in front of children when he punched and kicked him repeatedly to the head and body.
"He stopped before going back and carried out the same type of assault on Mr Douglas who did not retaliate.
"Kearney left for a second time when he continued to punch Mr Douglas, repeatedly stamped on his foot and put him in a headlock.
"Kearney lowered his head towards Mr Douglas' head."
The victim was seen to be motionless for at least five seconds.
Mr Douglas later attended hospital where it was determined that "one inch by a quarter inch" of the helix area of the ear was removed.
Miss Naismith added: "Hospital staff were unable to re-attach this."
Jim Rhodes, defending, told the court that matters arisen after the victim danced in front of the youths who "took umbrage" with it.
The lawyer added: "He told them to f*** off and Mr Kearney confronted him and went too far.
"He is aware his conduct is entirely reprehensible and he is completely remorseful."
Sheriff Joan Kerr told Kearney, of Govan, that the assault was "very serious."
