Campaigners are to hold a demonstration this weekend in Glasgow Green against the closures of venues across Glasgow during the pandemic.
Glasgow Against Closures will come together in a bid to influence candidates standing in the Glasgow City Council on May 5.
The organisation has stated more than 50 Glasgow Life venues, including museums, sports centres , community centres and halls, have remained closed after they were forced to shut their doors in spring 2020.
The demonstration will include speeches, music, poetry, and some entertainment for children.

The People’s Palace will be partially open, with Café and toilet facilities. The closed Winter Gardens will be wrapped in a 'yellow ribbon of hope'.
Colin McGeoch spokesperson for Glasgow Against Closures said: ” These local community venues and services were deemed essential to local communities prior to the pandemic and are even more critical now. Local venues are needed to provide community space for organisations to deliver vital services such as tackling mental health, loneliness, fitness and wellbeing, access to benefit and job support and foodbanks.”
Campaigners previously staged a protest at the The Burrell Collection, arguing that too much priority and funding was given to specific museums while others remained closed.
