A Scots gran was forced to snare a "long and narrow" snake in a plastic box after it trapped her terrified cockapoo in her back garden. Jean Campbell, 71, from Glasgow, discovered the slithering serpent while feeding her dog Poppy on Tuesday afternoon.
The snake was coiled up on her back steps. The creature, which appears to be a corn snake, frightened the six-year-old pooch, who was too scared to walk past it and back into the house, reports Glasgow Live.
Jean used a stick to get the snake into a plastic box and called the SSPCA, who collected it and took it away.
