Glasgow Gerry Cinnamon fan on crutches vanishes after Hampden gig as police launch probe

A Glasgow Gerry Cinnamon fan vanished from his gig at Hampden Park Stadium, using crutches and with bandages on her knee, sparking a police investigation.

Louise Strain attended the concert, alongside 50,000 other revellers in the city's South Side on Saturday July 16. The 32-year-old has not been seen since.

Her phone and belongings also went missing but were later handed over to Hampden staff. Louise's fraught sister, Josslyn, urges anyone who thinks they might have seen her to come forward.

She launched a frantic appeal on Monday in a bid to bring her sister home.

Josslyn told the Daily Record: "She (Louise) was at the concert on the Saturday and lost her friends. Her phone and belongings were later handed into Hampden Park so she has no belongings.

"She was wearing a pair of denim shorts and an adidas T-shirt that said ‘belter’ on it and a pair of black navy and white adidas trainers. She also had a bandage on her left knee.

"She hasn’t been in contact with anyone, friends or family. We have checked all hospitals and police station.

"Please get in contact if you have seen her."

Louise's photo has been shared on local Facebook groups in the hope that the public might have more information on her whereabouts. Several other gig-goers claim they saw Louise inside Scotland's National Stadium at different points during the evening.

Police confirmed that Louise was reported missing on Monday afternoon and that a probe has been launched in a bid to find her.

A force spokesperson said: "I can confirm that Louise Strain was reported missing this afternoon. Enquiries are being carried out to trace her."
