A pair of friends who'd embarked on an adventurous road trip hit an iceberg after their van broke down and they were left stranded in the unforgiving cold.
NHS worker Manuel Gutierrez, 35, and University of Glasgow scientist Beatriz Castejon, 30, were enjoying their thrilling trek through Scotland before their caravan broke down.
It left the duo stuck in the middle of nowhere and having to camp out in torturous conditions - where the temperature reached lows of -17.3C.
