Glasgow 'fish and chip shop targeted by vandals' as police launch probe

A Glasgow fish and chip shop has reportedly been targeted by vandals sparking a police probe.

Glasgow Live was alerted to claims that Blue Lagoon Fish and Chips in Sauchiehall Street was vandalised on Wednesday.

Police responded by confirming that officers were called to a report of vandalism, in Sauchiehall Street, at around 5am on Wednesday.

Officers did not deny that the targeted building was the popular fast food joint.

The nature of the vandalism was not confirmed by police.

A probe has since been launched and enquiries are ongoing.

A Police Scotland spokesman told Glasgow Live : "At around 5am on Wednesday, September 21 officers were called to a report of a vandalism.

"They were called to Sauchiehall Street, Glasgow.

“Enquiries are ongoing to establish the full circumstances.”
