Fire crews raced to extinguish a blaze outside the voco Glasgow Central hotel this evening.
The Scottish Fire & Rescue Service were alerted to the scene just after 8pm this evening next to the entrance to the hotel on Gordon Street along from the main entrance to Glasgow Central station.
Five appliances were mobilised to the scene, with one appliance still remaining in attendance.

Crews were initially called to reports of a building fire, however, on arrival it was confirmed that it was an external fire.
There are no reports of any injuries.
A SFRS said: "We did attend a fire at Glasgow Central Station. The call was received at 8:02pm this evening. We mobilised five pumps to the address. It initially came in as a report of a building fire. When crews arrived they established it was an external fire.

"They used two hose-reel jets. There is one pump still in attendance at the moment. There are no reports of any injuries."
