According to new research, an average family in Glasgow will be spending more than £150 on a weekly shop by the year 2030.
In the 12 months prior to August 2022, inflation was reported at 9.9 per cent. According to the Bank of England, this could hit 11 per cent this month.
An average UK household spent £69.20 on a weekly shop in 2021. This could rise by £7.61 to £76.81 before the end of the year as a result of inflation — an extra £395.72 per year.
