A campaign headed by supermarket Iceland launched earlier in August, to help older people with their weekly food shop, in the midst of the cost of living crisis.
Now, a further one million pounds in funding has been allocated to the supermarket to hand out more food vouchers to pensioners who need help with their budget. Up to 40,000 food vouchers worth £30 each will be divided among the older generation, and people have been told to act fast to avoid missing out.
Applications are open now, and the deadline is fast approaching - ending on Friday, September 16 2022.
