Concerns over a new housing development on a former Drumchapel primary school site will be just one of the issues councillors in the Drumchapel/ Anniesland ward will have to deal with.
Proposals to build the 48 homes at the land, which used to house the Cleddans Primary School, which was closed in 1996 and demolished shortly after, were approved by the planning committee at the beginning of the month.
Drumchapel is just one of the areas in the ward which is located in the far north-west of Glasgow and shares a boundary with West Dunbartonshire and East Dunbartonshire.

Despite its name, it contains only part of the Anniesland neighbourhood - the streets to the north of Anniesland Road, the north of Great Western Road and east of Anniesland Cross.
It contains all of Drumchapel, Netherton, Temple, Old Drumchapel, Blairdardie and High Knightswood, and parts of Knightswood - streets to the east of Great Western Road and Knightswood Road.
Other issues affecting the ward, which the 10 hopefuls will have to deal with is the 1930s style Art Deco building in Anniesland which is being demolished to make way for affordable flats.
Despite concerns from local residents and MSPs, permission to knock down the building at 380 Bearsden Road was granted last month.
