Glasgow EasyJet flight in mid-air emergency after bird strike on holiday route

A flight full of holidaymakers was forced to return to Glasgow Airport and make an emergency landing following a bird strike.

The EasyJet flight had departed Glasgow bound for Faro in the Algarve on Saturday afternoon around 4pm when the emergency incident took place.

As a result of the incident, the aircraft - which was able to land safely - was met by emergency services on the tarmac as a precaution.
