A cyclist killed in a crash in Loughborough, Leicestershire has been named as Glasgow man Anthony Smith.
Anthony, known as Tony, died after his bicycle is believed to have been struck by a silver Audi S3 in Ling Road.
The 47-year-old was found with serious injuries at around 8pm on Friday (July 7) when emergency services rushed to the scene and tragically died at the scene.
Tony's family has paid tribute to the Maryhill man, describing him as a "very caring person who helped others battle addiction, which he himself overcame".

Paying tribute to the 47-year-old, Mr Smith’s family said: “Tony was a very caring person who helped others battle addiction, which he himself overcame. He loved the outdoors and keeping fit and over the past few years Tony lived life to the full – from skydiving to kayaking.
“He will be greatly missed by this family, especially his mother, brother, sister and his niece.”
Leicestershire Police are continuing to investigate the incident after the car believed to be involved left the scene and was later found on fire in Frederick Street.
Following enquiries, a 29-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of causing death by dangerous driving and a 40-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman were arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender.
The 29-year-old man has since been released on police bail pending further enquiries while the two arrested on suspicion of assisting an offender have been released under investigation.
