An investigation is to be held into the death of a prisoner at Low Moss jail.
The Fatal Accident Inquiry (FAI) due to be held at Glasgow Sheriff Court later this year will examine the circumstances before Gerard Hooks passed away while in Scottish Prison Service custody.
The 76-year-old died the year after he was convicted at Falkirk Sheriff Court and details of the cause of his death have not yet been made public.

The first stage of the hearing is scheduled to take place on May 22, with the full inquiry set for November 6 and 7.
Meanwhile, a preliminary FAI hearing will also be held in the death of Darryl Goodwin at the same court on June 5, following his death in police custody.
No further details of his passing have been published yet by the Scottish Courts, but full information will be laid out during proceedings.
An FAI is mandatory in Scotland when a prisoner dies in custody and witnesses give details of events leading up to the person's death and, if necessary, a sheriff will make recommendations after listening to all the evidence.
