A Glasgow clinic who helps cancer and alopecia clients find "confidence" has been awarded at Scotland's Business Awards 2023.
Star Aesthetics based at the edge of Glasgow's west end has been recognised for its work after specialising in treatments for cancer and alopecia clients.
The clinic on Maryhill Road, offers semi permanent makeup, scalp micropigmentation , microblading eyebrows and skin rejuvenation treatments - all issued by qualified aesthetician and owner, Liz Shearer.

Liz, 47, who decided to open the clinic six years ago shared her business journey with Glasgow Live: "I set up Star Aesthetics six years ago after deciding to be brave and go out on my own and be my own boss.
"I use to work in Parruche, which is a salon in Glasgow who provide wig services for people with cancer and alopecia so the tie there was really amazing - when clients would come in for their wigs they could also get their brows restored with me, that's where the connection started."
Not long after launching her own clinic Liz was forced to remain shut due to Covid restrictions, and in fact was "stuck" in Thailand when lockdown hit the UK.
However, luckily, with referrals from Parruche she still had so many clients patiently waiting for her to reopen after lockdown.
The 1 to 1 microblading trainer offers specialist brow and scalp treatments for those suffering from hair loss due to cancer or alopecia, she said: "Honestly, it is the most rewarding part of my job. I get to be involved in their recovery journey and help restore their confidence and a little normality back into their life."
Star Aesthetics was awarded Best Aesthetics 2023 at Scotland's Business Awards, held in Glasgow last weekend and is honoured to be nominated for a further four awards later this year.
One client commented on Liz's recent accomplishment - "Amazing and well deserved! You changed my life and are a fabulous listener".
Liz continues to make an impact on many of her client's lives, she said: "Alopecia Totalis takes more than just your hair. I am honoured and humbled every time I get to restore some brows and confidence."
