A fundraiser has been launched to help protect a Glasgow music hall that is the oldest of its kind.

The Britannia Panopticon Music Hall is the oldest surviving music hall in the world and is now being maintained by two charitable bodies.

The historic Trongate venue was the first place Stan Laurel made his debut at the age of just 16.
