A man has been rushed to hospital after he was found injured during the early hours of the morning in Glasgow city centre.
Police Scotland has cordoned off areas in the city near to Central Station as they try to establish the full circumstances surrounding the serious assault.
The man was taken by ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary, where he remains with his condition described as 'serious'.

Police received reports of the incident at around 3.35am this morning (June 9) with sections of Waterloo Street and Hope Street taped off - including an entrance the cities central train station.
A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “Around 3.35am on Friday, 9 June, police were called to a report of a man found injured in Gordon Street, Glasgow.
“He was taken by Ambulance to Glasgow Royal Infirmary where hospital staff describe his condition as serious.
“Detectives are currently carrying out enquiries in the area to establish the exact circumstances surrounding this serious assault and anyone with information should contact 101 quoting reference number 0368. Alternatively Crimestoppers can be contacted on 0800 555 111, where anonymity can be maintained.”
