Glasgow Cathedral redesigned in style of famous architects using an AI art tool

An Artificial Tool has been utilised to redesign Glasgow Cathedral in the style of some of the greatest architects to ever live.

The city landmark is the oldest cathedral in mainland Scotland, dating back to the 12th century, and has gained many admirers for its looks during that time.

But an AI tool called Midjourney has been used to reimagine the structure in three distinctive styles inspired by Antoni Gaudi, Zaha Hadid, and Renzo Piano.

Gaudi was a Catalan architect who famously designed the iconic Sagrada Familia in Barcelona. If he tried his hand at the Glasgow centre piece it may have looked similar and the inside could have been breath-taking.

Dame Zaha Hadid was an Iraqi-born British designer who was known for her radical deconstructivist structures.

The first woman to be awarded the Pritzker Architecture Prize, Hadid’s works span the globe, from Rome’s MAXXI Museum to the London Aquatics Centre. Qatar's Al Janoub stadium, which is currently gracing our screens during the World Cup, also came from the mind of Hadid.

The reimagined Glasgow Cathedral continues the swopping style of the iconic artist.

Forward thinking Italian architect Renzo Piano is the man behind some of the most iconic building of the western world. He designed the Shard in London and the New York Times building in the Big Apple.

His philosophy of using technology and modern solutions to solve architectural problems are easily spotted in one of the AI's redesigns of Glasgow's famous landmark.

The makeovers are truly stunning, however, we believe the Cathedral is perfect the way it is.
