Glasgow carers and NHS workers will be able to get free tickets to gigs at city venues through a new charity scheme.
Concerts for Carers has partnered up with The SEC to offer free tickets for shows at The OVO Hydro, SEC Armadillo, and Lomond Auditorium Glasgow.
Together with O2, Concerts for Carers, promotes the mental health and wellbeing of NHS staff and paid care workers by providing access to free music tickets all year round.
The SEC is the latest venue to join the growing roster of locations across the UK with tickets being made available from today.
Since its launch, the charity has seen 25,000 NHS and paid care workers register to enter for tickets to over 250 shows including the likes of Stormzy, Liam Gallagher, and Elton John.
Over the next six months, Glasgow workers will have the opportunity to see live performances from the likes of Blondie, Emeli Sande, and Dua Lipa through the scheme.
To get involved, NHS and paid carers can sign-up online and apply for shows they'd like to attend. They'll then be entered into a ballow and notified if they've won tickets to their preferred events.
Debbie McWilliams, Director of Live Entertainment at SEC, said: “We all owe our NHS and paid care staff a tremendous debt of gratitude for the work they have done and continue to do and we are delighted to be able to support Concerts for Carers by giving back to them in this way.”
Mark Lambert, Co-Founder of Concerts for Carers, added: “We are delighted to be partnering with the SEC who are generously providing sets of tickets to all of the shows at the Scottish Event Campus to NHS and paid care staff registered with Concerts for Carers.
"The SEC is the latest venue to be added to our growing list of venues across the UK, helping us further our mission throughout the UK in partnership with the O2 in recognising and giving thanks to those who are there for us when we need it most.”
