A Scots cabbie left stranded in Pakistan with his wife and young children after Kabul fell to the Taliban has been forced to return home without them.
Jan Mohammed Ahmadzai's family fled Afghanistan for Pakistan in November last year and had been authorised to get on a British evacuation flight, but outbreaks of violence made it too unsafe for them to get to the airport.
The 43-year-old, who has lived and worked in Glasgow for 16 years, was visiting his wife and children in Kabul when the city fell.
