Glasgow Blairdardie shop armed robbery probe continues as cops release CCTV image of man

Police investigating an armed robbery have released a CCTV image of a man they believe can assist them with their enquiries.

The incident took place at a Keystore on Blairdardie Road in the Blairdardie area on Tuesday, March 8 around 4.15pm.

A female shop worker was working in the store at the time of the incident and a quantity of cash was stolen from the shop.

Although nobody was injured during the incident police say it was a traumatic ordeal for the member of staff.

The man is described as white, aged 30 to 50-years-old and of medium build. He was wearing a balaclava, circular glasses, a blue jumper with a logo reading ‘Palmer & Co’, dark jeans and bright blue Adidas trainers with white stripes and white soles.

Constable Victoria Steele said: “Nobody was injured during this incident but this was a traumatic ordeal for the member of staff working at the shop when this happened.

“I would urge anyone who recognises this man to contact Police Scotland via 101, quoting incident 2504 of 8 March 2022, or report this anonymously to Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111.”
