Bin strikes in Glasgow are set to continue next week after a new offer by COSLA was rejected by unions.
Unite rejected outright a new offer by COSLA following negotiations. The deal, according to the union, included a non-recurring 5 per cent payment to staff ranging from £989 to £2,000.
Glasgow's streets are strewn with litter following previous strike action last week, with Unite describing the new discussions as "a waste of precious time".
