A Glasgow bar has launched a new whisky dispensary that offers an "interactive serve experience" to customers.
Located just off of George Square, The Alchemist is a new cocktail bar and restaurant that opened in December 2022. It has already earned fans from Glasgow and beyond for its creative and unconventional cocktails.
Its newest experience is the The Naked Malt Dispensary, which allows visitors to "experience the future of spirit drinking". The high-tech dispensary conjures three Naked Malt cocktails: the ‘Peach Fuzz’, the ‘Nearly Naked’, and the ‘Sour Trip’.
To use the machine, customers first enter a token into a slot. After this, all you need to do is choose your cocktail of choice and watch as the dispensary "whizzes to life with illuminated vessels and plumes of fragranced smoke".
The state-of-the-art machine is intended to highlight the versatility of whisky. The three "delicious" cocktails on offer all provide a different drinking experience, using a range of ingredients.
The Peach Fuzz consists of Naked Malt infused with the spice of Angostura bitters, coupled with citrus, peach, and ginger ale. Meanwhile, the Nearly Naked offers a "sweet zest", with maple syrup, Benedictine D.O.M., orange bitters, and salt.
For those wanting a bitter kick, the Sour Trip offers a "warming" combination of apricot, citrus and cinnamon, topped with foam. Staff at The Alchemist will be on-hand to guide guests through the experience.
