With millions of people getting ready to fly out for some summer sun over the next few months, Glasgow Airport will be seeing a lot more foot traffic.
Packing and moving through security can be a stressful experience — especially if this is your first time travelling since the pandemic.
It's therefore important that you're able to relax before boarding your flight.

If you arrive at the airport in good time, it's likely you will have a bit of time to kill, so it might be worth heading to one of the bars or restaurants at the airport for a drink or bite to eat.
To help you decide where are the best venues at Glasgow Airport, we took a look at TripAdvisor, where each one has been assigned a rating out of five.
We also took a sample review from each one, to give you an idea of what guests think.
According to the online travel company, here are all of the food and drink venues at Glasgow Airport ranked from worst to best.
Starbucks
Rating: 1/5
Number of reviews: 1
The first three venues on this roundup have a rating of 1/5 — and they also only have one review on TripAdvisor. With such a small pool of information to work with, these reviews should be taken with a grain of salt, though they certainly don't pain a good picture.
What one customer said: "I’ve been traveling the route from Glasgow to London for years but since they relocated the airside Starbucks the service has been awful! Today I’ve waited 25 mins from the time I joined the queue until I got my coffee! Everyone was complaining. The staff are rude, extremely slow and always use the same excuse ‘we’re short staffed’! If the staff actually stopped chatting and actually got on with their job things might move a little quicker but I seriously dought this! If you are in a hurry getting a coffee here could potentially make you miss your flight!"

Caledonia Bar
Rating: 1/5
Number of reviews: 1
The Caledonia Bar also only has one review to its name on TripAdvisor — and it's not a positive one. While they slammed the venue for its long wait times, it may just have been a bad day. It might be worth checking out to see if it's improved.
One customer said: "Do not go here unless you have at least 90 mins before your flight. We ordered two toasted paninis which took 30 minutes to arrive, despite the guarantee at the entrance that a range of dishes are available within 15 minutes. Overworked staff were unable to keep up with customer needs or clear tables. Would not go back."

Burger King
Rating: 1/5
Number of reviews: 1
Once again, with only one rating to go off, it wouldn't be fair to judge this Burger King by its placing on this list. At the same time though, it has been reviewed and so we need to include it.
What one customer said: "I ordered a plant based (supposedly vegan) Katsu whopper. I have had one of these from my local BK before and really enjoyed it. I was about halfway through when I discovered it had dairy cheese in it, as well as being tasty, the Katsu burger is quite hot and this masked the taste of the cheese. Let me be crystal clear, I don’t eat vegan food by way of lifestyle choice. I am allergic to milk and all of the other milk based products, cheese of course being one of them."
They added: "If you have a food allergy, you’re not safe at Burger King. I will also be contacting food standards."

James Martin Kitchen
Rating: 2.5/5
Number of reviews: 162
The James Martin Kitchen may have a slightly higher average than the first three venues, but it also has a lot more negative scores. Out of 162 reviews on TripAdvisor, 73 have a 1/5 rating — which is not a good ratio. While the odd customer praised its "amazing" burgers, most were "dissatisfied" with their visit.
What one customer said: "Ordered the beef burger (plain) without any salad, was told 30 min delay which was ok as airport very busy with insufficient eating places open. Burger arrived with salad, as I waited so long just had to scrape off salad and sauce, lattice fries were under cooked and soggy not crisp like fries should be. Overpriced poorly cooked. Next time I would go to Burger King next door, far better value. Maybe the cook not a chef should pop to burger king to Lear how to cook basic fries correctly. Only reason for eating was hunger and not wanting to queue up again. Going by other reviews it is likely nothing will be done James you should not be happy to your name associated with this establishment."

Beardmore Bar & Restaurant
Rating: 3/5
Number of reviews: 323
The Beardmore Bar & Restaurant has a range of scores from customers, but many of the recent reviews have been more negative — bringing its average score down. The "extortionate" prices were a particular sore spot for many customers visiting the venue in the last few weeks.
What one customer said: "I usually use this restaurant when I go on holiday about 3 times a year. And I know it’s a bit expensive. We usually get a breakfast for my husband and eggs Benedict for myself. As it’s a wee treat going on holiday. But today they didn’t have any breakfasts just rolls. So ordered one roll on sausage each and a tea for me and a coke for my husband. I usually pay about £23 for breakfast. Which is expensive. But don’t mind that as it’s a good feed. But to be charged over £19 for 2 rolls and 2 drinks is disgusting. Not be going there again. Well overcharged."

Frankie & Benny's
Rating: 3/5
Number of reviews: 576
The second of the two eateries with a 3/5 score, but with a lot more reviews, Frankie & Benny's comes in second place in this roundup. Reviews on TripAdvisor vary wildly, with scores from across the board, which may explain its middle-of-the-road average. While some called it "dependable", others said the waiting times were "unforgivable".'
What one customer said: "Came here for breakfast and had the porridge with sourdough toast and a latte coffee. The toast should have come with marmalade but when it was brought out by the waitress, they only have jam or marmite. Food was very tasty, served hot but I didn't get what I asked for and was expecting. Service a little slow, although friendly enough - all a bit pricey."

Tennent's Pier Bar
Rating: 4/5
Number of reviews: 7
The Tennent's Pier Bar is the clear winner in this roundup, managing to achieve a score of 4/5 with multiple reviews. Visitors praised the bar's "lovely staff" and "tasty" food — and a few even declared it the "best bar in the airport". 'Nuff said.
What one customer said: "Apart from this bar being the closest to the gate I always depart from it’s cheaper than the others, quieter than the others as it normally only gets customers from passengers departing from this area. I have always found the staff friendly and efficient."
