The Grand National 2023 has officially begun and, as usual, the huge race meeting has kicked off in style.
While the weather forecast was mixed, it hasn't stopping racegoers from arriving dressed to the nines and geared up for a great day out. The heavy winds have not put anyone off what is one of the key events in Liverpool's social calendar.
Today (Thursday) kickstarts three full days of world-famous racing at Aintree Racecourse.

But for many, it's the fashion that is the main attraction, with stylish men and women often spending months planning their outfits in advance. ECHO reporters are out on the course for all three days of the festival, and have managed to spot some incredible outfits just within the first few hours.
