To quote a line from his favourite movie Gladiator, George Kambosos Jnr plans to "unleash hell" on Devin Haney in Sunday's world title rematch in Melbourne.
Haney left their 12-round June fight at Marvel Stadium as undisputed champion - the first man to unify the lightweight division in the four-belt era.
This time the pair will square off the much smaller Rod Laver Arena which Kambosos says is right up his alley.
"The atmosphere is going to be electric - the way it's set up is a colosseum," the Sydneysider told AAP on Tuesday.
"When I was fighting at Madison Square Garden, it's very similar as it also looks like a colosseum so I've got that same feel.
"I'm coming to do or die, kill or be killed. I'm coming with everything I have to win this fight.
"Haney knows that but he doesn't fully understand the unknown of what I'm about to bring."
The 29-year-old considered taking his fight preparation to the Philippines, where he once served as Manny Pacquiao's chief sparring partner.
Kambosos spent three years between 2017 and 2019 on and off in the Philippines with Pacquiao, regarded as one of the all-time boxing greats.
But instead he sent his family away to visit extended family in Portugal and moved into the austere conditions of his Sydney gym.
The Greek Australian stepped away from most of the draining fight promotion this time and has also kept his base in Melbourne a secret to ensure there's no distractions.
"I feel way better - I feel very fresh, very relaxed," said Kambosos, whose record is 20-1 (10KO).
"I'm not distracted by anything, I'm not letting any outside noise take any bit of my energy so I will come fully prepared and fully energised."
Having trod the path of world champion after he shocked another American Teofimo Lopez almost a year ago, Kambosos said it wouldn't be easy for 23-year-old Haney, who holds a 28-0 (15KO) record.
"Did I handle too much? I believe so but it is what it is and you learn from your mistakes," Kambosos said.
"Now he's got the same burden now, he's got to do a lot of the work now.
"You learn how to be a great champion and I'm prepared to be that again.
"I promoted that first fight like crazy - I was a businessman, a politician, I was a brand, I was doing everything ... this time it's Ferocious Kambosos, the boxer.
"We are prepared, nice and relaxed until we get inside the ropes and then I will unleash hell."
