Newcastle United continued their unbeaten start to the Premier League season with an incredible 3-3 draw against Manchester City at St James' Park.
Man City took an early lead through Ilkay Gundogan before Miguel Almiron bundled home Allan Saint-Maximin's low cross to level the score on 28 minutes. The Paraguayan was initially flagged offside until the goal was rewarded following a lengthy VAR review.
Saint-Maximin registered his second assist of the afternoon when he threaded the ball through to Callum Wilson to fire his finish beyond Ederson with six minutes to go until the interval.

Kieran Trippier curled an exceptional free-kick into the top corner from range to propel Newcastle into a two-goal lead inside 54 minutes. Man City responded by mounting a comeback with two goals in quick succession from Erling Haaland and Bernardo Silva.
Newcastle were momentarily reduced to 10-men when Jarred Gillett brandished a straight red card to Trippier for a rash challenge on Kevin de Bruyne. However, after reviewing the incident on the pitchside monitor, Gillett sensibly replaced the red for a yellow card.
The fact that some supporters are disappointed to have drawn against City in the end showcases what a strong performance they produced.
