A girl has been rushed to Edinburgh's Sick Kids hospital after being hit by a car on a road in West Lothian.
Emergency services raced to Whitburn Road in Bathgate shortly after 4pm on Monday afternoon following a collision between a girl and a vehicle, reports the Daily Record.
The youngster was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment and the extent of her injuries is not yet known.

Police confirmed they attended the incident around 4.15pm on Monday, July 25.

A Police Scotland spokesperson said: “We were made aware of a collision between a car and a female pedestrian on Whitburn Road in Bathgate around 4.15pm on Monday, July 25.
“The pedestrian has been taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.”
